One of the best things about being in the right fandom is the people that come along with it. Roughly a year ago I was in the janoskian fandom and I didn't really talk to that many people on twitter. I didn't have any 'internet friends'. Despite having watched youtubers for about 2 years, I never even thought to create a fan account for them. In September 2014 I changed my twitter account to a youtube fan account. I'll tell you now, that was the best decision I ever made. Everyone made me feel so welcome and I gained over 1,500 followers. I spoke to a few people for some time, however never really became really close to them or talked to them continuously.
The first real internet best friend I made was Caroline (@_YouTubands_). She was the nicest girl and made me so happy. We spoke on the phone quite a lot and spoke every day. However, I sadly no longer talk to her much; but I guess that's just a part of life, people move on. Even though we don't speak anymore, I still love her very much and am very grateful for the moments we shared and how lovely she was.
Around this time, a lovely ariana / youtube fan account dmed me asking if I'd like to be in a group chat with other fan accounts. Seeing as I didn't have many internet friends then, I happily accepted. However there was a lot of people (around 20) in this group chat and it was extremely hectic so me and a few others asked to be removed. All the people that asked to be removed then got to talking and created a new group chat; where there was about 6 of us. Yet, once again people wanted to leave and so it left the four of us (@burrftdeyes , @LovingChapman , @suggsftpll and me { @zalfiegalaxy } ). These girls are my favourites and they're the nicest 3 girls you could ever talk to. We started our group chat in about October 2014, but we don't talk much now, but we do sometimes have an occasional catch up.
I've saved the best until last. My bestest internet best friend is Charlotte (@burrftdeyes). We don't talk to the other 2 girls much anymore, but we have become so close. She is the nicest, most down to earth girl. No doubt about it, I talk to her every single day and I have no idea what I'd do if we weren't talking. I think we've been talking every single day now since December 2014, which is crazy! I can tell her absolutely anything and even though I've never met her, I can proudly say she is my best friend and I'd trust her with my life. It's actually scary how similar we are sometimes: we'll say the same thing at the same time, the most randomest of things happen to us both around similar times. If I'm having a bad day she always knows how to cheer me up. I really hope that I'll get to meet her soon. I genuinely feel like she's my other half. I could go on forever about her, but I won't because that would probably be a really boring blog post for you all. So anyway what I'm really trying to say is that just because you've never met them, you can 100% call them your best friend, no matter what anyone says.
